All entires made in Dyrii can be backdated. This is useful when you forget to post an entry on a certain day and want to retain the datetime from that day. This is also handy when importing your old journal enrtires from other sources e.g. digitalizing your old handwritten journals. This section illustrates how to use the backdating feature.
Note: There is also another related feature in Dyrii called 'Life Milestone', that is specially designed for backdating your memorable life events from the past such as birth, schooling, marriage events etc. Please check the Life Milestones section of this user guide for more information for this feature.
Depending upon the type of post, the backdating feature is located at following two places:
1. Rich Text Editor Toolbar
Text and image type of of posts are entered through the Rich text Editor page where this option is located in the toolbar located right above the keyboard. This toolbar is scrollable using swipe right/left gestures. The backdating button is represented by a timeclock icon and is located at the very end of the toolbar to the right. See below screenshots for reference.
On ticking the timeclock toolbar, the below popup will ask you to pick a date and time.
2. Add Details Editor Screen:
Health, Mood types of posts are entered using a seperate editor that spans across two-pages. The backdating option is located in page 2 (add details page). See below screenshot for reference.
Tap the 'Time' row on the Add details page to open the editable date and time panel.
3. Audio and Video Post
Audio and Video posts currently do not have this backdating option. We are currently evaluating to extend this feature to audio and video posts. Please leave comments if you have questions.
To change datetime and/or location on the Mac, click on the date/location links in the Editor as illustrated in the below screenshot.
